He continues to serve as host of the Texas State Football Coach's Radio Show, and his current ESPN+ coverage of Texas Athletics includes all major Division I sports including football, basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball and soccer.  Freeman provides online content for the official Texas State Athletics website and emcees public events for the athletic department including the annual Bobcat Club Kickoff Luncheon, National Signing Day Banquet and other social gatherings.

As a freelance broadcaster, Freeman has served as a play-by-play broadcaster for Bally Sports Southwest's coverage of the UIL Baseball State Championships and Texas High School Playoffs as well as FloSports' coverage of the 2024 Kubota College Baseball Series from Globe Life Field in Arlington, TX.  He has also provided TV play-by-play for a number of L2 Production Broadcasts, including American Athletic Conference men's soccer and the Women's Basketball Cancun Challenge.  His freelance radio play-by-play work includes filling in for the University of Texas (WBB), Baylor University (Baseball), the San Antonio Talons (Arena Football League) and the Arkansas Travelers (Double-A baseball).

From 2006 to 2015, Freeman worked as sports director for AM 1420 KGNB Radio in New Braunfels, where he anchored a daily sportscast and covered a wide array of sports from area high school athletics to season-long coverage of the San Antonio Spurs.  During his time at KGNB, Freeman reported from several major sporting events including the three NBA Finals and the Final Four.

Freeman’s career at Texas State began as a student for the campus station, 89.9 FM KTSW, where he worked from 2003 until 2006.  While at KTSW, Freeman was recognized in 2003 as the nation’s best play-by-play broadcaster by College Broadcasters Inc. That same year, Freeman earned first place for play-by-play by the Southwest Journalism Conference. Brant was also a finalist for the Best Regularly Scheduled Program by CBI in 2004 and was awarded first place by the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association for Best TV Sportscast in 2006.
